Anthony Bayani Rodriguez is a writer, researcher, and professor. He has a dual degree in Africana Studies and Modern Culture & Media from Brown University. As a recipient of the Ford Foundation Fellowship he earned a Master of Arts and a Doctorate from the University of Southern California in the Department of American Studies & Ethnicity. In 2017, Anthony was awarded a Scholar-in-Residence Fellowship from the New York Public Library’s Schomburg Center for Research on Black Culture. He lives in New York City, where he is Assistant Professor of Sociology & Anthropology at St. John’s University.
